Electronic ignition - now widely available on most Robinson Willey gas fires - provides instant ignition from a top-positioned control and is particularly usefully for the elderly, many of who suffer from arthritis and have a poor grasp. Likewise, for those with severe disabilities, a specially designed control handle is available free of charge on all Robinson Willey radiant and outset fires. This device simply attaches to the heat control to facilitate operation and ignition.
As well as a numbered heat control that is positioned on top of each fire for ease of access, all models feature raised heat markings for poor-sighted users and, for the radiant/convector models that remain a popular choice with the elderly, a flip-top lid conceals the heat control and offers the facility to house operating instructions and bespoke security and emergency details for social housing.
