New technology director spearheads Robinson Willey growth
The well-known industry figure for fires - Willie Byrne - has been appointed Technology Director by the GDC Group. As well as working for a number of brands within the group, Willie will work closely with Robinson Willey in helping strengthen the Robinson Willey brand and steering the aggressive growth that the company anticipates.
Formerly with Valor and with over 25 years experience in the fires industry, Willie is charged with new product development and raising the technical excellence of the Robinson Willey portfolio of gas and electric fires. He will also work closely with Robinson Willey's new sales and marketing function to target social housing, specification and retail sectors.

As well as being a registered engineer at the Engineering Council and a member of the Institute of Quality Assurers, Willie is a long-standing member of the Society of British Gas Industries and the Heating and Hot Water Industry Council.
